A really simple tutorial going through the usage of apt-get on the command line in Ubuntu. This includes install, remove, autoremove, update and upgrade. Just a basic little ‘add on’ to my first video: www.youtube.com and only covers the basics. Things I forgot to include: installing multiple programs/packages at once, information about apt-get automatically installing dependencies and information about adding extra software sources. I hope that one day I may be able to add these in, or if not you can just read the manual pages on apt-get (see ‘man apt-get’), use the Ubuntu community documentation, forums, IRC chat on Freenode and Google. I hope I can create some more, and I would like positive and/or constructive feedback. There’s no use cussing me over it, if you tell me how to improve, I can try and work on things then. Thanks!

Fedora’s an awesome distro, not just for geeks in server rooms. With a little bit of effort, it can be great for anyone with a little bit of command line experience. Easy Fedora setup: jfalco.info Slight correction: Fedora uses SHA256sums instead of Md5sums now. Sorry about that. Thanks for watching!
