A particle system written in C++/OpenGL for the course Advanced Computer Graphics Programming (TNCG14), spring 2009 at Linköping University. Textures are procedurally generated with an alpha channel, using FBO and GLSL with animated Perlin simplex noise, to make the particle system appear less static. Alpha compositing is used to blend the particles together, so that they appear to form a volume rather than looking like separate objects, using the texture alpha channel.
