In the course “Development of digital systems”, held at malardalen University in the autumn of 2009, one of the tasks were a game project. This were to develop a game that can be played using a VGA monitor. The hardware used were the Altera DE2 developmentboard, and programming were in VHDL. The PC application is written in VB.net and the hardware programming is done in VHDL. There are two servo motors, one is for steering and one for turning the webcam mounted at the front. There is also a DC motor to drive the robot forward. Three circuits power the hardware and transfer data between the PC, ALTERA programmable chip and the motors.
